Documentation. Explanation.

I'm was forced to create an account in a first minutes after looking for any kind of good documentation to write anything.

From the start. I'm creating a e-commerce shop (yay) and decided on OpenCart. It has MVC model and so good readable cod e but the problems started when wanted to write a module/modification/extension/tool. I don't know which one should I write for things I want. No description about how to properly write with basic code for modification, tool, module. Just raw description which gives me nothing. I just started to get annoyed by the lack of any informations about that. Any1 can help me? I'm pretty sure I need to write modification or tool, not module and can't find any tutorial for it.

but better don't feel bad, because of all this, since OC comes for free, so, nobody is
really forced to participate in, or to feel annoyed, by anything, in the first place.

Started to write it in ocmod, as it shows up in modifications on list in admin panel. Have questions.

1. Can I upload *.vqmod.xml as normal *.ocmod.xml in extensions installer so it will show on modifications list?
2. Can I use vQmod or OCmod for do changes in 'root/config.php' and 'admin/config.php' files? I need to change paths depends on what server it runs. Tried to write it and it just dont load config.php as I saw in modifications log.
