Hi,

I'm trying to have multiple values listed for a single attribute. The scenario is that my products can be described as having multiple types of styles.

e.g. modern, asian, cascading, tower, standing

Main objective is to allow my visitors to use product filters to find what they need. I don't like the idea of having Styles set as a Category as this will mess things up and make it hard for my visitors to find what they want. These style values can be applicable across multiple top-level categories, so it doesn't make sense to use sub-categories for this.

I found a extension, but it is for OC 1.5x. I'm using OC 2.2 now.

Please advise if my reasoning is incorrect, or any suitable workarounds or extensions!

Hi cyclops,

Not sure if it's logical. The styling of the product is not for the visitor to choose to apply on the product page.

Styling describes the appearance of the product, same way as the height / weight / length do, and for helping the visitor to find what he / she is looking for.

Take note that the weight and the weight prefix can also be handled with product options even though the visitor may not choose to apply the height, weight or length on the main product. Product options would still be a considerable options in general, in this case.

You may want to have a look at this extension as it does have two things that you may could use:

1) you can pre set the attributes

2) you can have multiple attributes

You can also use these as tags and have as many as you want. customer can click on the tag to see other products with the same one.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

Problem solved!

Thank goodness, almost had to purchase Burt's suggestion.

Realized my recent purchase, Mega Filter Pro, allows this function. I can set it to recognize commas as separators for values I placed in any product's attributes entry.

Does what I need nicely.

Thanks everyone for your help!
