pre order mod?

Does anyone know if there is a mod that allows customers to preorder and item if that item is sold out?

You could set the out of stock status to "Preorder" on the product and set the "Allow checkout" to True in the system settings. The rest is implied.

Enable checkout when out of stock. If you can, change add to cart button to PRE-ORDER

I have my pre order set using this extension
