Hi everyone and excuse the impending idiotic queston but...
is there any reason why OC 1.4.4 does not allow access to the Store details or the Image tab in the settings menu?
My Image tab and the lower half of the Store/general tab are not showing and I have tried checking the user permissions (all on), the .tpl files (identical to the 1.4.4 download as of last night) and no matter what I try I cannot seem to find even the code to these tabs! What's even odder is that the store owner, default store, address, email and telephone entries are there in the menu to edit but the text field, logo/icon uploads and image size settings are all missing!?!?!
Any ideas? This is a bizarre one! Could there have been a fault in the latest download for whatever reason? that might explain why my coupon variables (unmodified from standard) were missing from the respective controller php fles??
THanks for any help and keep up the good work, soon as I get this site finished I'll make a donation!

Ok so the plot thickens (am not a PHP expert by any stretch so bear with me)"
1. The variables all that are called in generating the admin pages all have values assigned (or so it would seem from checking the php files).
2. The variables are defined and called in either store.php or setting.php from the admin > controller > setting folder
3. The setting.tpl, store_form.tpl and store_list.tpl files all have HTML containing the missing sections.
So it would appear that the variables are defined in the wrong php files or have somehow been hidden. This was partially proven by copying the missing / undefined line
$this->data['entry_template'] = $this->language->get('entry_template');
from store.php into setting.php
Is it just me or could there be a fault in the code or is this something that I have missed in making the jump from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4 without reading up on the differences / changes?
The concern is that having (minutes ago) downloaded a fresh 1.4.4 just in case i saved over something stupid, it appears to be the same!
Any thoughts?

If it was an error in the latest download more people would have this issue.
I think it has more to do with the step from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4 (next time you should mention such an IMPORTAND piece of info in your start-post).

Well, I know I have no issues live on on WAMMPjontorbs wrote:Curiouser and curiouser - I wonder if I could push on and get it live on a standard linux host if it would cure the issue?

Am pushing on through the design and template mods regardless to put up a minimalist site and get that running (this is actually site umber 2 in 3 weeks but am not happy with the basic template mod I did for the first one before I start trying to show off!)
Thanks for the help. If anyone else spots this fault on their mac local host please let me know!

Solved - did a straight file copy onto the web server as opposed to the local host and imported the database using the host sql interface (1and1.co.uk).
Had a few issues with the php version but addressed those using tips on here about editing htaccess and was swiftly sorted with a manual edit of the config files to amend the db details as the host auto-generates db names (watch out new installers using local development environments) so some copying and pasting soon sorted that out
Shop is up and running in a soft launch awaiting some content so take a look - quite a few styling issues to sort out that I didnt get time to fix yet!
