Based on this topic I've added this mod:

Supported OpenCart Versions:
================
All versions

What does it do:
================
This contrib adds a javascript that shows a loading bar for all pages loads and form submits.
It uses the thickbox loading bar image that already comes with opencart.

Main features:
==============
* Coded in Javascript so it is completely dynamic and works with all versions
* Javascript is kept in its own file. Only 1 line to add to header.tpl
* Works dynamically with all links, page loads, browser refreshes, etc

Tested and working in all major browsers

Yea, seems there is a compatibility with Opera and the "unload" javascript commands:
http://api.jquery.com/unload/ (see comments)

Seems the onbeforeunload command is supported by IE, Chrome, and FF only. So fail to Opera for not supporting it

But on the plus side, people who are technically inclined enough to use Opera, know how to find the browser loading bar already :)

Plus one vote for this.

I'm using Open Cart 1.5.4.1 on http://www.importpieseauto.ro

Pretty nifty!

However, if it's added to the core, please have a way to turn it off besides editing code.
I do like it, but it sort of makes the cart look slower loading. Normally, you only see loaders because the app/page needs time to load.

930sc ... because it is fun!

It will never be added to the core. It is a mod only

Here's a vQmod that works on 1.5.4.1

I would just like to be a text above the image, "Please wait..." How can I do that?

I am using iSearch 3.1.6 by iSenseLabs for my OC 1.5.5.1 and the addition of this mod is causing the search results to load very slow. I really like this page loading animation extension but unfortunately, the trade off seems bit too high.

Hey Qphoria - is this compatible with 2.1.0.2 as well?
