I'm building a new site for a client. There current offering is a mess. To cut a long story short I am going to be using Joocart to integrate their existing OpenCart catalogue into Joomla. The problem I am having is that they installed a 3rd party extension but can't remember what it was called and it's now missing from the new install.
I am new to OpenCart. I would like to know where this 3rd party extension is installed so I can transfer it to the new site.
They are using OC 1.5.6.4

then, this here would be the wrong place...
But I would succest, to download a OC v.1.5.6.4 Software, then, unzip it, and compare the content of the
catalog/model/...
catalog/controller/...
catalog/controller/...
admin/model/...
admin/controller/...
Subdirectories, on order to find a Module, added to the default source.
Then, in a matching Subsection in your Language Files, you have some
$_['heading_title'] = 'Product Returns';
$_['heading_title'] = 'Your Transactions';
e.t.c., so, you will know, what purpose the Extension has. Together with the FILE_NAME of the Extension Files, you know, what it's called, at least, so, you could look around on the web to find this Extension, as WHOLE, and have ALL the Files, Scripts, css, images, e.t.c., placed in their correct locations, to be added into all Sections/Sub's, where they need to be, to make the function work.

But it could also be a VqMOD, in charge of such, or. at least, beeing part of the game. Then, it's a little more complicated, to find out.
--
But if this is more, that you wish, download the famous and free OC v.1.5.6.x CodeManager, and install it, then, you could allow some DEV around here secure and 'limited' Access to your Server Shop Directory, as long as you wish. He/she would find out in minutes, what you have, in your Software.

CodeManager - Web-based IDE framework for OpenCart
Author's Description:
CodeManager is the easiest way for OpenCart store owners and developers to work shoulder-to-shoulder. No more FTP access, server problems, port issues. CodeManager allows you to give access to developers directly from your OpenCart admin. It has so many awesome features, even Chuck Norris would become envious.

General: the client should check his requirements!aka-ra wrote:I'm building a new site for a client. There current offering is a mess. 1. will he sell products
or
2. will he writing text articles
Why these 2 questions?
Because it is never a good idea to mix OpenCart and Joomla (does no matter of JooCart, MijoShop, Aceshop, etc.).
All of them are a crap finally!
Back to the 2 questions: if he wants to sell products AND need some text articles (which will be basically static, mean not every day a new article), OpenCart PLUS one of the good Blog extensions should be your choice.
If 2 is the answer, what for he needs OpenCart?
Then Joomla should be your base and one of the native Joomla shop extensions is your choice.
