Hi,
I have been using this extension for some months. I like it. It worked perfectly.
I have modified lot of products and filters since I used it last time.
Today I updated this extension to the latest 2.29 version.
It seems it is working perfectly, but if I export products or categories and import the same xls files, my categories and products disappear from admin. On frontend all products appear. Shop can work but I can not access my products in admin.
I tried with more option setup, but result is same. Something change in the database wrongly...
What can occure this issue?
Thank you for your help!

I guess I found something that related to my issue. I think it happen if I use more language.
I use english language on frontend and another language in admin.
I disabled my second language because I use it only in admin.
When I export my products my second language is missing from expoted xls sheet. Thats why I can not see any products in admin after I import the same xls.
Can you update your extension, that all available language appear in exported xls although it disabled or not?

I have been using this extension for a bit now with no real issues.
It is a bit finicky about exporting large numbers of categories but has been importing large numbers fine.
However, this evening I finished modifying the sort orders of 4000 plus categories.
When I imported the file the first couple of times it acted like it was importing but then just stopped without announcing that it had succesfully completed the import. On the third attempt it announced that the import was succesful.
Unfortunately none of the Categories now appear in the Admin back end or in the Store Front End. The data is in the database but not showing on the site.
I have tried the import a couple of more times with no success.
************
So upon some further reasearch I find that somehow the category_path table data has been deleted.
Is there a way to recreate this table?
I tried having the Category page in Admin rebuild the Categroies but it didn't work.
************
So I see what happened.
Because I was having to export small amounts of data at a time and then put it back together in a spreadsheet I somehow managed to leave out the two main category levels. I used the "delete all old data" feature in the final import and thats when everything went sideways on me. The two main categories were gone so the software can't recreate everything. I have put the two main categories back in the spreadsheet and tried importing again but I am still not having any luck.
The import will not repopulate the Category-path table.
****************
I have deleted all the data from the tables and run the import again. All data is being uploaded to the tables but the the Categroy_path table is simply not being repopulated. I have tried using the rebuild function in the Categories window of Admin but it is not repopulating the category_path table.

Am I missing something?

Is the category_path table still there at all, even if it is empty?

Yes it is there just empty.
I should have been stating 'repopulate" not "recreate" as the table is always there just not being repopulated.

I have done some more testing this evening.
I can delete all the data from all the category tables.
Do an import of my complete Category data file.
The category , category_description and category_to_store are all repopulated.
The category_path and category_to_layout are not being repopulated.
The "Rebuild" button in Categories acts like it does something and states "Success: You have modified Categories!" but nothing changes in the data tables or on the screen.

KaptinAmerika

This looks like an issue with the refresh of the category_path table. What happens when you try the Repai button in the categories page of the admin backend?

I'm going to run the upgrade script on my site to see if that fixes the rebuild issue.

That did nothing

*********************************
Figured it out, as usual user error...LOL
I had two top categories as their own parent, meaning I had their category_id as their parent_id, of course this was confusing the system so it wouldn't complete everything. I changed the two top categories parent_id's to "0" and everything is working correctly now.

Export in smaller batches. Also check your server's error_log.

Use the latest version 2.30 which has this issue fixed. You should only install extensions which are specified for Opencart 2.2.0.0 support!

Hi Everyone.

I was wondering if I purchase an extension for SKU options. example: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... tion%20sku

Would I be able to export this extra SKU column in the Options TAB? Please see attached.

Much Appreciated.

Bruce.

I sent you a PM, I could create a little VQmod XML script for adding support of the new option SKU field to the Export/Import tool.

It seems your database is corrupted. You have currently 2 languages installed:

1 = English
2 = Čeština

However, in your oc_attribute_description, oc_attribute_group_description, oc_product_attribute and other tables, you have quite a few entries using language_id=3. Only language_id=1 or language_id=2 is allowed. By the looks of it, it seems all your OpenCart test data are having entries with the invalid language_id=3.

This fix would probably correct it:
Go through all DB tables which have a language_id column, and change the rows with language_id=3 to language_id=2.
Hi,

I have this problem too,
How can I change all tables?
I really need your help.

Thanks.

Unable to reproduce your error. This appears to be an issue with file or folder write access in your system/storage/modification.
