Recently I decided to change shop logo. I've uploaded a new .png logo file and changed it on the admin menu but it did not change on the store. On the admin settings I see that it changed to new one but on store it stays the same. When I open /image/cache/catalog I see only logo 100x100 cached, the one that I see on admin settings where I select store logo. Tried to clear cache on site and on browser, no change. Finally I deleted the old logo file from store and now I'm having only a text in logo place on store and no way to place a logo image there.

Any wise ideas of what could have gone wrong?

Hi rupusm,

If you are using VQMod/OCMod; you will need to clear the VQMod/OCMod cache to get the new image...

Thanks for the suggestion, mate! I've tried to clear VQMod cache but it did not change anything. I am unable to find a way to clear OCMod cache, how do I do this?

OCmod is embedded in to the initial OC and part of OC extensions I use instruct the user to install it via OCmod. On the other hand another part of extensions instruct to be installed via VQmod. That's why I installed the VQmod it seems I've got both VQmod and OCmod.

Now I'm having a weird feeling that I'm doing something very wrong...

What do you mean when you say "I tried to clear the VQMod cache"? Either you did or didn't...

Without more CLEAR information, I can't help... It does not matter what is included with OpenCart if you are not using it (OCMOD), it should not be part o the conversation. It only leads to confusion, either you are using it or you aren't. If you select a picture from image manager it should show...

Thanks for your time Randem, I really appreciate that.

I am trying to be as clear as possible. I believe that I am using VQmod and OCmod on my site. I am not sure if this is good or band but I am using both. Some of my extensions are running on VQmod and some on OCmod.

I tried deleting contents of vqmod/vqcache but after doing that I noticed no change with the logo image. I am not aware of how do I clear OCmod cache.

I would use one but not both as you can see that leads to confusion. OCMODS XML files can be converted to VQMOD file very easily (or vice-versa). I favor VQMOD for it has a longer history and used with VQMOD manager it completes all that is needed. I hear that you can use both but just because you can do something does not mean that you should.

You should disable OCMOD / VQMOD until you get the hang of either one then test to make sure of where your problem is NOT, then add one back in and test.

The simplest approach is generally the best...

I am sorry for a lame question but I am unable to google an answer to it. How do I disable OCmod? Or by disabling OCmod you mean not having any extensions running on OCmod?

Remove all extensions using OCMOD.
