Extansion for Customers to update history or send Messages?

Hey guys. I put a site together for a friend and he needs the customer to have access to put an update in the history or send him a message. I looked in extensions and I find ones for users to users on the back end and one for user to put a sticky note to the customer.

Is there an extension for the customer to update a message on the order or add information to it or send a message within oc? I would think this is a simple feature that would be standard but I cant find anything on it.
