is there a fix or work around?
Cheers

thats a bit crazy isn't it? why wouldn't it support animated .Gifs? pretty mad Open Cart really is lacking and broken in many placesQphoria wrote:By default opencart doesn't support animated gifs.. it will likely convert it into a jpg or maybe just a blank image if it catches the wrong frame.
it may be so, but it's your decision, after all, to use such FREE Software, or then, scrap it, if you don't like it.
PNG animated images will work, and PNG is an open source free Code, even in full color, GIF is NOT, in either form!

I don't know if crazy is the word... do you think people really want to see 15 images moving at one time in the latest module area? It still could be nice. The reason it doesn't currently is because it has the image resizer class which automatically resizes images on the fly.. this isn't so easy for animations (tho it is certainly possible). I think there just needs to be some time spent on it and it really is more of a nice to have than a need.Skawty wrote:thats a bit crazy isn't it? why wouldn't it support animated .Gifs? pretty mad Open Cart really is lacking and broken in many placesQphoria wrote:By default opencart doesn't support animated gifs.. it will likely convert it into a jpg or maybe just a blank image if it catches the wrong frame.
