Hi,

I exported products using this tool and worked fine.
Then I edited the excell file with my products. I did not change columns names or anything like that. I just inserted more products.
When Importing it back in I get tis error php SQL:
Error-1.PNG

Error-1.PNG (90.7 KiB) Viewed 3869 times

Error-2.PNG

Error-2.PNG (95.82 KiB) Viewed 3869 times

What do I do?

Are there any other problems that could be here?
This is not an issue with the Export/Import tool, but with the Opencart installer. If your zipped ocmod.zip contains the expected 'upload' folder, yet you get the message "Directory containing files to be uploaded could not be found!" then there is a bug elsewhere, somewhere in your Opencart installer.

Yes, I presumed so. Is there anywhere I can go to get help on this, because I am at a loss currently and would like to use your tool.

Hello everyone! ;D

I love this exstension, but I recently encountered a problem.
I have a CSV file with 4000+ entries. I saved it as a .xlsx file. I changed the structure of this new file so, now it matches the Tool Export format. When I try to import the xlsx with my products i get this error.

Code: Select all

Error No: 1064<br />INSERT INTO `oc_product` (`product_id`,`quantity`,`sku`,`upc`,`ean`,`jan`,`isbn`,`mpn`,`location`,`stock_status_id`,`model`,`manufacturer_id`,`image`,`shipping`,`price`,`points`,`date_added`,`date_modified`,`date_available`,`weight`,`weight_class_id`,`status`,`tax_class_id`,`viewed`,`length`,`width`,`height`,`length_class_id`,`sort_order`,`subtract`,`minimum`) VALUES (500,3,'810-00111','','8058773830241','','','','',,'MOD1',121,'',1,14,09,0,NOW(),NOW(),NOW(),0,1,1,0,0,0,0,0,'1','0','1','1');
I don't understand what I get wrong, because if I create a product manually, then I export it and re-import it, the tool doesn't give any error.

Hi ive been using this module for a while and its works perfectly.
I just wonder if its possible to add other sql tables that are used by other modules to add functions to products.
Right now these settings gets deleted when i import changes through import/export module.

I have resolved my problem finally to do with OC claiming:

"Directory containing files to be uploaded could not be found!"

Upload the contents of the "upload" folder through your FTP client. If you have renamed your "admin" folder to be accessible via a different URL, update the "admin" folder within the "upload" folder to be the same.

Rename "install.xml" to "install.ocmod.xml"

Once uploaded, go to "Extensions" -> "Extension Installer" and upload the install folder.

Follow instructions as given in the documentation (update admin rights and refresh modifications)

I have just managed to install it, now onto using the actual tool.

Hopefully somebody finds this helpful if their OC upload doesn't work the normal way.

I have Opencart 2.1.0.1-1 installed on localhost. I have installed VQMod, Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x, TaxCloud, and QuickFix.
After installing Quickfix the installation of this extension went perfectly, I thought.
I have granted admin rights to the Extension, but I still do not see how to use the extension. There is nothing appearing in any of the menus (my menus are on the side, not on the top as I've seen in all the videos I've found) so I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Is there any suggestions, or do you need further information?
Thank you!

**update
I did get the tool to show up in my menus, so I will try to figure it out now. Is there a youtube tutorial on how to manage this that anyone knows of? Thanks again!

You should fix your Opencart installer, it's not an issue with the Export/Import tool. You already got FTP on your server, hence it's only matter of correctly configuring your Opencart in your System > Settings > Edit > FTP

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

I checked my FTP settings multiple times, there seems to be nothing wrong with it. Which was my initial reason for posting in this thread.

I also installed the external modification that bypasses uploading files through the FTP settings

So can you explain what you mean by fixing my OC installer?

In addition, I have used the tool, however some attributes do not appear. This is rather frustrating.

I suggest you post it on github as an installer bug, with the exact steps on how to reproduce it. The Opencart installer is not perfect, but it works on most Opencart servers.

As regards attributes: I am unable to reproduce your error.

I shall do that.

That is very unfortunate, I would like to be able to use your tool but it seems with the lack of support I will be unable to.

Hello such, I wonder if you could change this extension to allow me to download all the columns of mysql related product table (oc_product) because I have third-party modules that add me functionality to the web and when I update thereofThey lose those settings. From already thank you very much and best regards. Happy holidays in advance!

I just found this tool and have exported my current products to see the format of the file. In a new excel file i used the same sheet name and column names. I did not add an entry to the product_id column as all of these products are brand new. Upon imported, I did not get an error message or the products added to the database. I did receive a message that the import completed successfully.

Do I have to put a number in the product_id column for new products and if so, how do I find out what the last record number was so I can be sure that I do not duplicate the product_id numbers.

When you do an Export of all your products, or of the last batch, you'll see the highest product_id used by your Opencart server. As regards the Import: You said you had error messages, but you didn't tell us which ones, so I can't help you further without them.

Hi,
I'm currently having some difficulty running this tool.
I'm running opencart v2.1.0.1 and I've just installed the export/import tool via extension installer. Using v2.28 of this tool.

I followed the steps correctly down as far as the permissions section - when I look under user groups I do not see tool/export_import so I cannot set the permissions correctly. It has, to that point installed correctly as I see the tool listed under system/tools/.

Am I missing some files maybe - possible corrupted installation?

Any thoughts on this would be great.

Thanks in advance

The error message in the Error Logs were not very helpful. Since then I have figured it out and have it exporting and importing products from another application which has a Bluetooth Barcode scanner connected to it. What I did was to export the current products, copied the file to a new file, moved some columns around that will be inline with the other program, saved the changed to a new filename, and then imported the new products to the store. Once I got the process down, the tool is very slick and easy to use.

OPENCART VERSION : 2.0.3.1
EXPORT/IMPORT : the previous to 2.2.8 version

Hi, I need to add one more column to the import/export product sheet.

Specifically "import_id" next to the already existing "product_id". The column "import_id" already exists in my database and it is produced and used by an XML import tool that runs every half an hour. The column "import_id" must be included in import/export excel because otherwise the excel import is not recognised by the automatic XML import and products are inserted twice.

How can I do that?
