I know this is a while back but I am having all the symptoms as described in the above postings.

Did anyone find a solution? I am getting no joy from my hosting provider or from Paypal.

Have just had the same thing start happening here, two orders today with no email notification and found cancelled in missing orders, MYSITE.COM/shop/index.php?route=payment/pp_standard/callback shows a blank page and no errors so all seems to be fine there.

In Paypal IPN history the two transactions are stuck on retrying with a HTTP response 500, as with you am still waiting on a response from Paypal and my host.

Exactly the same fault as mine.
I set up another opencart installation using version 2 and this was fine. But the last thing I want to do is upgrade as this is not recommended, neither do I want to set up and transfer every product etc to a new shop!

Same problem here since 4/5 days. Paypal says it's my hosts fault, my host says it's Paypal's fault. So, what's the solution?? I'm fed up with receiving no confirmation mails from the site, having to weed through the orders to see which one was paid, which one not etc...

The error logs show nothing. I had to disable express checkout too since that one is now completely unusable since a few days.

Here is the latest reply from Paypal:

"Hello John,
regardless of understanding it or not, the response is given by the server on your site's side.
To get a grasp on what's happening you need to research the server error logs on your admin.
there is nothing we can do on our side to search what the issue is on a third party server.
Kind regards"

I am getting no reply from my hosting company Arvixe at all!

Here's a good one, Paypal decided to disable IPN without explanation. Pressed the enable button and hops we are back in business. This is simply unacceptable. No reply to our questions either.

I'm having the same issue wit 1.54, my orders are going into opencart as missing orders. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
