Search not finding v1.40

I just tried the site search on v1.4 and it didnt find what i was looking for. So did an obvious search for something in latest products and it still showed no results...

If i search Saxo, all the saxo products appear.

If i search Saxo Body kit nothing appears.

Seems a little odd. Anyone got any idea's?

Anyone? This is quite concerning for cusomers searching the site.

It's not a bug. It's just not overly featured to separate multiple words. I have an improved search function for an older version. I can see about improving it.

Also there is another member that made some improvements to searches as well.

The current search looks simply for a partial match of the string as entered:

"Saxo" matches
"Saxo parts"
"Saxo trucks"
"Saxo tires"

"Saxo Body" matches
"Saxo Body parts"
"Saxo Body kits"

But does not match
"Saxo truck Body parts"

So the improved search does a split on all the search words

"Saxo Body" then splits to
"Saxo" and "Body"

But then ALL "Body" terms are found:
"Saxo Truck Body"
"Plexo Body Kits"
etc

Either way, not a bug, so I'm moving this

Thanks for replying. But am i am still a bit confused why when searched foe saxo body kit nothing shows in the results yet there are products with this is in the product name...

Where can i find your improved search function if you have made it available for other users to download?
