Alright, I am at a total loss. I tried uploading and installing opencart 1.5.6.3 & 1.5.6.4 and every time it does nothing. I installed at the root directory of mydomain.com and even changed the config files. Still nothing. I know that it shouldn’t be this difficult, but does anyone have any ideas as to why it is not autoinstalling? I tried a force install by mydomain.com/install.php and mydomain/install/cli_install.php and still nothing. I uploaded the files with Filezilla.

I am running CENTOS 5.11 x86_64 WHM 11.44.2 build 4
Apache version 2.4 PHP 5.5
Easy Apache v 3.32.5

Thanks in advance!

oc should be uploaded in folder public-html, not in root where ftp takes you.

both config-dist.php files should be renamed config.php.

next create database and database user in cpanel, connect user to databse and grant user all right to database.

next open your browser and go to your domain, installer should start, follow directions and normally oc should be installed in seconds

Okay, I meant in the root directory under my publichtml and not the root folder on my server. I have renamed those files and permissions on the install.txt files. I’ve done the db thing and all I get is index of/ cgi-bin.

In fact, I've even went to OC v1.5.4 and it is doing the same thing.

meaning your hosting is not set up right.
is your domain pointing to your hosting ip, is dns updated already so it will go to your hosting ?

I have several sites up and running right now and I did have an earlier version of OC up and running. I have a cloud server.

OKAY... apparently when I contacted my Host they created a new WHM sigin for my new domain and didn't bother to share that information and I didn't think to look until just now! Everything loaded up fine once I figured that out.

Thanks!
