1. We have 1 product which is a basket *(same Model #)

2. It is the same basket *(same model #). One basket is shown with fruit in it, one basket is shown with a plant in it, and one basket is shown with candy in it. Same basket, three different images, assigned to three different categories.

Should I duplicate this product 3 times and assign a different main image to each?

Or, is there a mod for this? I've searched and couldn't find one.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Respectfully,

Not following your question exactly. You can use additional images to show the other images with 1 being as main.

If you mean you want category A to show image 1 as a main image, category B to show image 2 as main for the same product, yes, you'd have to add the product 3 times.

Honestly, I would love to see someone do a mod to select main image per category (and per store actually), but as far as I know, there are no mods that do this at present.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

I agree. There is a need for this type of mod indeed. Any takers?

In the meantime, I will have to add the same product 3 different times, and adjust the SEO URL accordingly.

Thank you for your response!
