Hi, please, would you consider adding an option to show the prices with the TAX under the prices without the TAX?
A lot of countries in the world have that they HAVE TO have showen price with tax and without tax - i am pretty sure that this feature is easy to implement for you - i did for one version (1.3.2), but implementing it everytime is... not that fun. I did even donated you some little money for this great shop and i will do it again if you will add this option and continue in such a great work.

Showing both should not be the standard.CRAZY-Ivan wrote:Hi, please, would you consider adding an option to show the prices with the TAX under the prices without the TAX?

Because if you have a B2B shop, nobody cares about the taxes (in the EU, do not know in other countries).
But I agree with you, that an option should be implemented to show either prices with the TEXT addition like (incl. Tax) or not (depends on your settings and your country laws).
This feature is already on the feature list, but when it will be realized can only Daniel answer.
In the meantime, in the german translation pack (where it is a must) it is solved by adding this text into the language files (and therefore easy to delete if not needed).

it is must have in czech republic too (that is why i wrote that i should be an option)- i'll take a look on the german solution - i was editing files - not just language files - coz - we in czech republic (and i am pretty sure there are another countries) have to show both prices everytime - inc. tax and without tax :/
Hi Daniel,
1st at all, nice work! I'm migrating from magento to opencart, for all my clients.
There's only two things that I miss: the short description for using in products list, and a main page for category listing.
Do you have plans to implement this? or there's any workaround for those issues?
Thanks!

How much do you want for donation to implement what i suggested in another version, Daniel?
Hey Dan, great job!
But you do not respect anyone.
In this forum there are people who slam to make additional modules and you continue to update the versions for rare so that the modules become again be rewritten.
You're just an .......... you know

There "stable" but, it could be 1.4.2.1, we're in the middle of building a stable 1.4.x release.DannyMacD wrote:1.4.3????
so is neither 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 stable???
So migrating to the 1.4.2 is to early.

Nobody should be upgrading their store to 1.4.2. Daniel is trying to get a stable version so he can focus on the main site redesign. Since 1.4.2 has major bugs like the
rtrim(dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']), '/')
instead of
rtrim(dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']), '/.\\')
that is a major showstopper bug that will be patched and released again in 1.4.3 in a day or two..
1.4.2 is meant to be installed on a test shop and tested so we can reach a stable point

Does anyone who can tell us how to upgrade from v1.40 to v1.42? i heard they changed the database config for weight and measure. please provide a detailed instruction of the upgrading method. Thank you very much

If nobody is supposed to use 1.4.1 or 1.4.2, then why do we have:
OpenCart 1.4.2
OpenCart 1.4.1
OpenCart 1.4.1 for testing only!
as main news items on the home page?
and also:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n/download
It also seems that a lot of people 'speak' for Daniel.
Talk about confusing mixed messages!

1.4.1 was for testing only, the second 1.4.1 was not supossed toe be called 1.4.1.bbmatt wrote:If nobody is supposed to use 1.4.1 or 1.4.2, then why do we have:

1.4.2 was the bug fix release for the second 1.4.1 but seems to have some bugs as well
When the next release will be and what the version will be we're nut sure.
We have suggested it should be 1.4.2.1, but most of all it is not called a stable release yet.
Yep, and we're sorry for that.It also seems that a lot of people 'speak' for Daniel.

Hi,
I made a little change in the admin looks 1.4.x. This new logo in admin looks like a tab(button).
You can download the logo.png and replace the excisting logo.png in admin/view/image/
upload and ............ ohhhhhhhhhhhhh nice.
also see:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... ion_id=469
And this one I just added:
Download this file to change the footer in admin with new logo
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... ion_id=470
I just change the zipfile so header and footer are in the same zip now. (sorry you have to download again)

I guess I assume too much to be common sense and historical trend.bbmatt wrote:If nobody is supposed to use 1.4.1 or 1.4.2, then why do we have:

Lets put it all together
1. 1.4.1-dev was leaked. There were allegedly 3 major bugs found.
2. They were fixed and 1.4.1 was released publicly
3. less than 24 hours later, additional bugs were fixed and 1.4.2 was released
Shortly after, people started finding the bug about the / instead of /\\ which is a major bug and it will have the cause the same 50 threads that the order_info bug in the order.php file caused.
Daniel has stated about the quick release of 1.4.2:
So since there are still major bugs in 1.4.2, it can be reasoned that there will be a 1.4.3 that fixes additional bugs. Maybe even an 1.4.4Daniel wrote:things are going to be done properly but i need time. i also don;'t wan to leave major bugs in cart for 2 days.
Finally, after a week of testing with it, when the major bugs are all hopefully found, then that will be the last release for a while so that he can make changes to the main opencart.com site. Then we can all talk about upgrading.
So I would assume that people would figure out the trend when 1.4.2 came out so much sooner that there was some more bug fixing to do.
You can pretty much think of 1.4.2 as 1.4.1-dev2
Multistore is a major feature that has already shown lots of confusion and possible issues with showing products. So until it is all tested out with test shops, only then should you worry about upgrading your live stores.
Well I guess the main 1 is
Bug 1:
rtrim(dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']), '/')
instead of
rtrim(dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']), '/.\\')
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 857#p57864
and a slightly smaller one is:
Bug 2:
In the backend System -> Store Manager -> select a store, the template management is wrong.
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 857#p57900
Those might be it. but the first one is definitely a major one, as there will be 50 posts about this. (there are already about 5)
