hello all,

i'm trying to install the vqmod module and have a permissions alert,
" index.php not writeable
Administrator index.php not writeable "

i don't know what is the problem...
i downloaded the last vqmod_opencart module=> extract the files=> upload them to the ROOT folder => trying to enter to
ססס.com/install and have the alert error.

You have a screwed up Server Environment Setting, and you chmod-ed assumingly masses of files to 644.
Generally -HTML / .PHP / .TPL Extension Server SECTIONS are CHMODed to 755 by server-default, mostly even 775.
Only config- and .haccess-files (usually) use different settings, to make 'em 'unreachable' by outside Access.
Just try again! And don't forget, this is just the Beginning, the real 'fancy' Stuff all comes later, in Masses...

hi Ernie thanks for the the quick response,
what do you mean 'just try again!' but you told me the default permissions is from the server (hosted at fatcow).
please help i'm new to this opencart system.

I meant, that you are only just starting with OC, but if you already fail on that, it's probably going to be a bumpy road, until you reach the light... :o

But since you already played around, trying to change CHMOD settings, you need to GET THEM back to 755 / or 775, and Image Sections to 777, troughout your Shop Sections and files. EXEPT for the config.php (i.e. 644) files, and some Sections within the System- and possibly Admin- Subs.
