Order cancelled by opencart but still charged?

I just moved my website over to OpenCart from Shopify. I ran a test order last night and the payment was taken through Paypal, but order shows Cancelled in Opencart. What could cause this?

an incorrect setting. You have not defined your OC Default Settings to another Value.
