Hello all,

I am building my first OpenCart store and I am trying to get my head around the best way to make variable product pages.

From what I can see OpenCart uses options to configure a product. This is great but is very limiting in terms of being able to identify in reports what people chose and other reasons.

What I would like to do.

1. Have a product page that shows an item.
2. Have it show a drop down of each size its available in.
3. Change the image when option is selected
4. Change the price and the model number / SKU
5. Allow for bulk discounts but only relevant to the model/SKU
6. Deduct stock accordingly
7. See sales my model/SKU

From what I can see it looks like the only way I can achieve this is by having each product added on as a separate product.

Has anyone done this before?
