Hi there
I set up Paypal Standard on my shop as it was the simplest but it seems to be taking 33% or thereabout of any order for itself. This seems rather excessive!
Is there a better value payment system?
I am trying to sell affiliates' content too, but if Paypal takes 30-33% and I take 20% then they'll only be getting 50% of their cover price, and for a lot of product this won't be worth it.

PayPal takes 2.9% + $0.30 per payment. To be taking a third of your order, that means your average order is about $1.00 (which looks to be right, looking at your shop).
Unfortunately, their fee structure is pretty standard across the industry, so it's unlikely you're going to find a better option. However, PayPal *does* offer an option called PayPal Micropayments, which is designed for shops that sell items under $10:

The fee structure is 5% + $0.05, which would equate to a $0.10 fee in your case, rather than a $0.33 fee. You're probably not going to get better than that.
