Could you explain in details and more categorically what you mean by sharing session with multiple domains? Are you looking to do multi-sales between domains or you wish to established a social-media approach strategy between domains?

Hi straightlight,
How to use sharing session with three different domains?
Park the diminios in cPanel,
I added the domains in my store (Opencart),
The three domains work well
... but the sharing session is not working.
http://www.bicicletaclasica.com/ (main)
http://www.bicicletaclassica.pt/ (park domain)
http://www.bikedades.pt/ (park domain)
http://www.e-bikes.pt/ (park domain)
according Opencar, the user can move between shopping cart. You understand?
Thank!

Same here
I have a fresh install of OC 2.0.3.1 with multi site option (two different sites but the same admin). Everything it´s ok, excep the option "Use Shared Sessions". I understand with this option enabled I can buy in Site A or Site B, and all products (of Site A and B) will be in the same cart for just one checkout and payment. Is it right?
I think it´s a very important feature, but I don´t find much information about that in internet. Maybe it works fine for the rest of the globe :-(

Could you describe the steps you did in details so to be able to reproduce this issue? It may or may not be a bug but before getting to that conclusion, it would be great to know the way you did to see the results you are reporting about.dracoteam wrote:Same here

Hello straightlight I really appreciate your interest in helping
The steps I followed are the usual to create multi store site, and the fact is both shops works perfec (except shared sessions). I followed this 5 steps tutorial
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=27538
Then I wen to Admin>Settings>default store>server>Use Shared Sessions>yes
I linked some products and categories to both sites
And that´s all, now I should be able to buy from Site A or Site B and share the cart.
The fact is I can buy from site A... checkout, payment, shipping, all perfect.
Or I can buy from site B... checkout, payment, shipping, all perfect
But if I want to buy one product from Site A and another product from Site B, it´s not possible to do it in the same cart (2 products in the same cart). The cart of Site A only have the product buyed there, and the same with Site B
I hope you understand me.
I can write you a PM and give you access just in case you want to try
I´m talking about OC 2.0.3.1
Regards and thanks for your time

It seems that the config_shared only has the purpose to decorate the v2.0.3.1 release. Only the settings page contains this variable for unknown reasons. It looks like an established idea was in place but never got completed before the release. : |
Even I wonder what this functionality has been created for if only the question is being asked without providing the results ...
