Hey all,

I recently saw a website that appears to have a forum integrated with it's cart software, but I am not quite sure ow they did it.

Check out this page:
https://www.awx.co.za/campaigns/view/id ... +Void.html

From what I can see they have the description of the product, then underneath it they list similar products. Slightly further down they have a forum discussion going.

Does anyone know how they managed to do this?
I don't think it's true integration, as the link suggests it is a custom page not a product page - but how would one go about creating a page similar to this on Opencart.

I feel as though this kind of information could help a lot of people.

has nothing to do with OC, as you can see, it's a HTML Page, producing the content, linked.
On Product Pages, exept for REVIEW Options, there is nothing such either.

I managed to figure out it could be done with a paid for module.

That didn't have the functionality of a full forum like I wanted though, so I am using an iFrame with some custom Javascript to allow it to resize based on the contents of the page it is linked to. This allows me to essentially insert a full phpbb forum post into anywhere on Opencart.

I've also managed to sync the login details between my customers and the forum, so they only ever have to login and signup on the website. This in combination with removing the borders of the iFrame, it's automatic resize, and a bit of customization of the forum styling makes it very difficult to know it's not part of the site (without viewing the source at least).

It's a bit low-tech and not true integration, but hey, If it works...
