Featured section doesnt display on home page

Hello everyone. This is my first post.

I'm developing a webstore and i want to add a few featured products on my home page.

When i go to Modules - Featured and Create a new one, it says " After you have installed and configured a module you can add it to a layout here!"

So i click on link and edit the layout, save it and then visit my home page, but nothing shows up.

I tried deleting and recreating it, but it still doesnt work.

Been trying everything for ages now but i just cant find solution

Any clues?
