Deeper "Related Products" Search?

I haven't found ANY other threads regarding this... but I'm wondering if there's a way to increase the search depth of the RelatedProducts autocomplete (admin)?

It seems that autocomplete box only searches the very first word of the product title, making it difficult to track down products quickly... you know the product you want, but who remembers exactly what the title is??

For example, if I have a product named "Vintage Metallica T-Shirt"... I can't find the product by typing "Metallica", it only responds to "Vintage".

Before you suggest using an auto-select extension, let me explain that I'm running a template with an integrated blog that uses this OC feature, auto-select won't work. I have to match the products manually to the blog post topic, which is written regularly (and is the reason it's becoming an issue).

I realize this functionality is probably not built in atm, but I thought I'd ask and see if anyone has code tweaks, suggestions, extensions, etc... any options to make search the entire title.

It's not a huge deal, but it is becoming a daily annoyance. Thx.

Use symbol "%" in the beginning of the search text input
