how do i modify the side category?

Hi all,

I am looking to edit the side category on opencart and i would like to disable the ability to click and view the sub category , the colour of the menu, the size of text and the ability to rollover and show the category pics.
I cant find these options in the journal settings so :

How do i do this??

I am assuming the appearence is down to the opencart theme.

You would better have explained, what should be Visible in the Cat-Side-Menu, instead of trying to explain, what you don't like to have. But whatever, it could be done in several ways, but always depending on the EXISTING Setup, and this depends widely on the Theme one uses.

I have tried several freely available Versions, finaly, I have ended up by use of the one, shown here:

then, within a Category, only Subcategories are shown, and the active one has a white background.

just to give you a general idea.

One could also remove the part to make Subcategory Sections visible manually, but then, they may be removed troughout, possiby....?! So, check on all other 'ways' first!

I'm not even sure, at the moment, wich Mod i used, it's called CategoryModule, I believe...
