I see you can install modules in the admin, but can you install themes in the admin as well?

Or do we always have to use ftp?

Then why won't it let me upload a zip?

I keep getting wrong file type. Is there a trick to it?

There is no documentation on how to make an uploadable product.

==============

I do see in the store setting where you can add ftp info. But that can't be connected can it? The whole point of a module installer is for people that haven't a clue what ftp is.

I sell themes, and many always have a problem with installation. Nobody but web geeks know how to use ftp.

the file must have the extension ".zip.ocmod". Just add the ".ocmod" at the end of your zip file.

For non-FTP check:

I've added in my ftp, no luck.

I keep getting Invalid file type!

Checked the mimi types, but no luck.

O well.

I'll wait till opencart 2.something comes up.

I appreciate your help!

Now i'm getting this error:

Directory containing files to be uploaded could not be found!

I've created a test with an html file inside the zip. No directories.

Why am I obsessed about getting this to work? ha ha

you must have an upload folder inside the .ocmod.zip file.

Inside the "upload" folder you put all the files. "Upload" will be Opencart root.

So if you want to upload something in "catalog", the folder will look like this : "upload/catalog/files.extension"

Will the same rule apply to extensions upload too,
I have a extension with the name "shipwaypro+v2.2+oc2031.ocmod.zip" and when I upload the file using the extension installer(oc2031) I get the same error as mentioned before "Directory containing files to be uploaded could not be found!".
I have checked the file structure is the same that you have said all files are in the upload dir but still I get the error, what to do please advice ?
