Need An extension or idea to store form data about a product

I work for an enterprise that is currently using open cart. We sell a product that requires a lengthy form to be filled out. Currently we have no way of making this form data persist if multiple products of this type are added to a cart.

Does anyone have recommendations for an extension or an easy way to handle this with an added table?

probably not, without really 'usuable' information, from your side. it' just guessing, this way...

I have certain products that require a registration process. i.e. we need more information than what was provided during the initial registration. I need the data recorded from the form for this product to persist as long as the item stays in the cart and I need to be able to link all of the data recorded back to the customer and the sale.

There is no easy way to handle such with OC, I assume, It's a Custom Project, and probably, even quite Custom, moneywise at least. It would take 'precise' RoadMap-Type of 'Explanations', and 'Discussions', to achieve such, in a usable manner. If you don't receive any Contact-Mails fro Professionals around here, there are some sites, where you can place your Enquiry, and hopefully find a developper, to write it for you.

BUT just make sure, how 'heavy' it could get, by use of a OC Version, not yet quite known by many Dev's, and not even 'stable' yet, taking the still 'fundamental' internal updates under consideration, disabling even some existing Mod's, built for the Subversions before..., so, it's kind of 50/50 gamble, the way I look at, at least...

I have a custom product created that links to a form and receives the data. My last step is storing the data. I have considered potentially creating Options for my product and setting there values via programming. Do you see anything wrong with that idea?

P.S. I am a new developer. I just began working in the field. Although, I will not graduate until until next semester.
