Search Box (Problem) in IE. not FF

Question:

Internet Explorer:

If I search for an item using the search box from the home page I can find any item I'm looking for. If I'm looking at an item specifically and then go to search for another item using the search box it does not work correctly in internet explorer. It will send me to a page no related to the item I'm looking for. If I click on home and then search for the item it works fine. The problem is when I'm drilled down into an item and then go to look for something new using the search box it won't take me to that item. I have to click on the home button and then look it up.

Firefox:

Works perfectly as it is suppose to work.

Conclusion:

IE sucks apparently but is there a fix I can do for this? Many internet users still use IE.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Maybe if I upgrade to 1.4.x it will fix this problem? I'm using 1.3.4 currently.

Very odd how it works fine with firefox but not with IE.
