We are having this strange issue with some of our registrations not showing up in the admin area at all. Apparently this has not happened to users registering while ordering, but only on the separate user registration page. It's seemingly completely random. Some work, others do not.

Here's our registration page. https://shop.pacherbs.com/index.php?rou ... t/register
It's a live site, but if you want to register, just put "test" somewhere in you name and go for it.

The admin notification email is delivered with the new users info, but when you log in to the admin area and look for that customer, they are not there. We've been manually adding them in admin, which works fine.

To add to the mystery, ALL tests I've done have worked perfectly. I tested on firefox many times, trying to "Break" the registration form, but it always worked. Also tested fine in IE and Chrome.

So has anyone else encountered anything like this?

I was running this extension, "Custom Registration Fields 1.5.6" https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... _id=620691
I "think" the issue may have started when I installed it, but I cannot be sure at all.
I have since un-installed it through the OC admin, to try and remove it as a factor. Yet the problem persists.
The plugin is a VQmod and claims to not overwrite any files, so, it can't be related, right?

We are running OC 1.5.6.4

Any ideas? ???

Thanks!

it seems, one of them may be this, to me, at least: 'addtoany.com'
Personally, I don't like anyway to be monitored, in any way, when registering on a Site,
by use of my personal, Data, without beeing aware of, who's beeing (hidden) part.. ;)
Just to mention, I did NOT register, to try, just because of this...

But I am old, and bald, therefore, don't take it seriously!

Hi IP_CAM,

How did you detect the "addtoany"? Firebug? Chrome dev tools?

Thing is, the normal user isn't going to see that, and, if they do, it becomes an issue of personal choice, which is nothing to do with a possible technical bug in Opencart. Am I right?

In Europe, things like this could be, or then, are already, probited, by EU-Law.
Customers have to agree to accept, whatever they get, by a Cookie-Warning ok,
but from the standpoint of a Customer, especially those, aware of their 'Class',
it's not something, they possibly like very much. So, beeing Seller, I would try
everything possible, not to loose on single Visitor, just because the Browsers
No_Script-Filter tell's 'em to eventually be linked to someone fully unknown,
if registering on a (fully unknown) Shop Site... ???
if you know, what I'm trying to tell you. ;)
