Pagination edit

1.4.7 - Does anyone know how, or if the pagination design can be edited? I have a category with 101 items and it's causing the verbiage on the right-side to knock down to the next line. Ideally, I'd like to stop the pagination at say page 7 (approx. half the window space in the center) with the > and >| boxes following. This should allow the verbiage on the right to stay on the same line. I have attached a screenshot.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

Any thoughts on why this wouldn't be OK for usability? Just want to be sure I'm not overlooking something obvious, for the sake of a slight improvement in design.

UPDATE: Found where to edit this in the event anyone else on this version is looking.

system/library/pagination.php approx. line 6:
I changed this to 8 and it shortened up and brought everything back on a single line. Looks great.

I want to change place of pagination. Is it possible so please help me. How to do this.
