The original News/Blog module for OpenCart – since version 0.7.7.

This package provides a set of news/blog pages and a column module.

The list page contains a listing of any blogs and a short description with a "read more" link to the main blog page.

The column module displays a short description of the most recent blogs with a "read more" link to the story page.

Configuration options include:
  • limit
    status
    number of characters displayed in module
    allow customer comments
    allow guest comments
    auto-approval
Simple plug and play installation, with nothing overwritten.

Full installation instructions included.

Compatible with OpenCart version 2.0.1.x. It is NOT compatible with earlier versions.

Not yet.

OpenCart 2.0.1.1 and earlier had a built-in "captcha". This was removed in OpenCart 2.0.2.0 and replaced with Google reCaptcha. Won't take too long to update though.

Yeh it really is nice. I added classes and just started styling it on homepage.

Is there a shortcut for it in the admin or do I have to go through the modules every time?

How do I show it in the front end? domain.com/blog didnt work

Also, is it responsive in front end if I add it to columns?

Since there is no modification file, then you will have to go through the module to view the blog and any comments that may have been made for that blog.

The module provides a link to the blog "list" page on the front-end. Since it uses the standard OC stylesheet, it should be responsive.

hello, just to let you know that images dont work.

I'm using 2.0.3.1 and the admin saves the image but it does show anywhere on the front end....i cant even find a reference to it on the front end code.

Could you kindly check it please? otherwise, its perfect.

I've fixed the image issue you mentioned and added an option for image alignment (left or right) in the module admin.

Hello thanks for this, where is the updated file though?

I cant find it in OC extensions or on your website
