Can't believe the timing but just after I posted this my host has accidentally deleted some components from the Plesk admin panel on the server (whatever that means).
If it's not back today I'll be moving hosts.
If anyone has any UK recommendations for good VPS servers (not webfusion) then let me know :-(

I see that you have your website online. I am sorry I can not recommend any UK VPS as I have never had one.
I have a quick look at your website it's nice and clean but the biggest thing that is glaring from your website is the lack of contact details. Only a email address no other contact details. No phone number or at least a address. I would be very wary about purchasing from a website with no contact details but a email. Also in the UK its law if you are selling online to have a address.
Will have a look in more detail a little later just my two cents.

Thanks Doug - glad you liked the site style and yes a relief that my host fixed the issue (long story).
I do have a custom contacts page but I see its gone from my latest theme update.
I'll get that added back in -you're right it's important.
Regarding phone, we found that 90% of the phone calls were from agencies trying to sell services but you're right, it could be off putting to a customer not to have it there..

I know that hosting issues can bring the end to a business. I always say it's not the problems that arise its how people deal with them.
I am sorry to hear that your custom contact page has gone with the update but I would be it something to get sorted ASAP.
I know you might be getting 90% cold calls but is there not away to stop them as you don't know how many more orders you will get even if they don't call. But feel more happy to purchase because of it?

Sadly within minutes i received calls from companies trying to sell me VOIP but hopefully it will build trust too with actual customers :-)

Any tips regarding Opencart and search engine rankings (especially as Adwords seems so expensive these days)

Congrats on getting your store relauched. It looks great!
Two little things I noticed:
1. Your slideshow fills the entire top half of the page and since it has "Enter Shop" as the text in it, it makes it feel like just a portal page to your actual store. People might not realize to scroll down to see your categories and other information on your home page. And since the slideshow banners link to certain categories, they may miss the other things you have to offer. You might want to change the text to "Shop Now", "Shop Asian Gifts" "Shop for Kids" or something else.
2. I only looked at a few products at random, but none of the ones I looked at stated the size of the item. Like the Money Pot banks...how big are they? Maybe I just happened to choose ones without them, but that is the question I get most, even when I do have sizes in my descriptions! lol

I only noticed this due to using 01256 533 number.
