A Fork is, in most cases, a waist of time.
Or there must be a lot of coders and supporters behind it to make it work.
Look at the Forks from osCommere, in most cases they are even worse.
I repeat from what I have been saying from day 1 that I stumbled on OpenCart, more focus on the project and it users and less ego.
The time that Qphoria ran the 1.4 branch things did get better.

As previously mentioned, if you want to start a fork, all the best of luck to you. I'll be deleting all of the posts regarding it in this thread as they don't contribute towards this discussion. If you want to open a new thread and link to it here then do so, but this is not the place to be having this discussion
Firstly, I'm not part of the opencart development team - I'm a forum moderator so I don't need to give any of the details you've asked for. Secondly, the only way I'd know those details is the same way you would - if they were given by the developers or if I went through all the github repository. This thread is to let people know that 2.0.2 has been released. It's not a discussion area for forking OpenCart and creating CE versions. I think I've been pretty clear about that a couple of times now but I'm repeating it yet again. If you want to do that open a new thread as I've mentioned

I completely agree. The current process to upgrade OpenCart in 2.0.x is too complex, but it is an extremely crucial and vital component for any e-commerce platform to be successful. If all the hard work goes into creating the bug fixes, improvements, and new implementations, then there should be a quick and easy way to upgrade your OpenCart and receive them.

I know them, 6 years ago they where just another osCommerce Fork, nothing special.
All the Forks moved towards something new; if they still would be based upon their initial software then they would not have come this far.

If what you mean is, issues and bug fixes posted on Github are "closed" without any relevant feedback, yes thats anoying.
I just had one myself NOW. Closed. Thats it.
I would rather have a line saying
"THIS is not a bug. You are an idiot" or "I cant replicate, expand" or "cant be assed to fix this now".
Any of the above gives closure. "Closed" gives nothing
I do hope us to have some cool developments in very near future.
Then it will be a case of, carry on or change, dealers choice!
