Hello, I'm looking for a POS System that runs with Opencart. I'm currently using SalesVu, but its doesn't work with Opencart. Looking to make a switch. Does anyone have a recommendation?

If you find one you like, let me know. I personally would like a system where I could swipe a credit card and have it pay for the contents of the cart but must it must include some minimum info: Name, Email and zip code. So, a cashier or customer would use a tablet to add items to the cart, click "In Store Checkout" option, choose "credit card" or "cash", fill in the minimum info and then either swipe the card or pay with cash. The cashier then oks the transaction with a unique 4 digit pin. or something like that.

So, it's just another Custom Setup, you plan to use. I would therefore post it in the Commercial section of this forum, possibly, someone is able to assist you. Unfortunately, one cannot buy all Mod's, offered, just to find out, if one of them already does, what you require. And those, who know, will possibly not tell anyone, how it works, in a worldwide Market, everbody is a possible, potential, Competitor, as well...

Thank you Ernie for the reply. That got me thinking a bit. All I really need is to set the "In Store" feature in the payment module and set the zone to our local region (so not everyone will see this as a payment option). Then, we would have a swipe terminal and a cash register. The terminal/register and opencart do not really need to be connected to give us the functionality we want, which is to log all products ordered for in store purchases. We can add a CC transaction ID to the comment section of the checkout. I think this is the path forward for us.
Also, I just discovered another cool feature of this extension: Checkout and Registration Simple
It has a ton of settings. One of which is to hide the Pay In Store option until the "Pick up In Store" option is selected. I will also customize the customer data to only require Name, Email and Zip Code.

One could call this: coming down to earth, or so, sometimes, Imagination may surpass the possibilities, even sometimes overshadow's real existing alternative ways, of doing something. I learned it, the hard, way, beeing married for 40+ Years, with the same Model-Number POS...!
