change dropdown menu limits

When on the admin side (backend) the dropdowns are all limited to 5 lines for picking things like categories and setting choices in modules, layouts etc. Where does the code live to change that?

Thanks I figured it was a limit line somewhere I just wasn't seeing on first reading.
