FedEx Shipping rates by Weight

Does the default FedEx extension support calculating shipping rate by shopping cart weight? It seems that there is only a fixed rate regardless of weight.

The built-in Fedex method should properly be using the cart weight. If it's not, double-check your store default weight class (in System > Settings), your products weights and weight classes (in Catalog > Products), and the Fedex weight settings (in Extensions > Shipping > Fedex). If it's a weight class issue, this might not solve your problem, but you could also consider getting Qphoria's commercial Fedex extension:
