Add new category when adding product?

Is there a way to do this (extension or otherwise)? I'm fresh from WordPress WooCommerce and it had that ability. With OpenCart, am I relegated to only adding categories and then adding products?

I was afraid of that. To remain organized, and for future exportation possibilities, I'm trying to stay within the hierarchy of Google Shopping's 6,216 categories. With my former eCommerce website incarnation, I began with a CSV import plugin that I used to populate fake items with those categories (removing the items via a phpMyAdmin SQL command afterwards). I was trying to avoid doing that again this time.
