Hi,
I am using Opencart 2 on my NEW small niche ecommerce site. I am using 2checkout to process payments.
I have configured and tested the checkout process, and am using the Direct Checkout (inline) method, which theoretically allows the customer to stay on my website. The problem is that when I test the process with my real Chase Visa, it took 37 seconds from the time that the "Pay" button was clicked in the 2checkout window until being returned to the "Success" page on my website. My internet connection is 60mbps (dl) and 12 mbps (ul) I understand that much of the process is due to being routed through the Verified By Visa 3D process, but this is just not a realistic amount of time for a customer to wait. I
I contacted 2checkout, sending them a video to demonstrate how long it took me to checkout, and they said "The time period that you are seeing is on the long end the average that we maintain is 5 to 15 seconds. There will always be outliers to this but we strive to keep this low for our sellers and buyers."
The primary reason I picked 2checkout was for the inline payment method so that 1) customer stays on my site 2) don't need to set up SSL. I can't afford to pay authorize.net a $49 setup fee and $25/mo. What are my other options the offer a nice inline checkout for Opencart that don't have a monthly fee?
Also, does anyone have thoughts on verified by visa or mastercard securecode? Does anyone have info regarding what % of US cardholders are enrolled in this?

Just a note for others of those switching to Stripe:
You can use my Stripe Payment Gateway extension to process payments via them.

Although Stripe seems a good bet, you could also pick from a 3rd party payment services provider such as securetrading.com or PayPoint
Hi, Crave81
I've been trying to make 2checkout to work.
How to work with direct checkout??..I selected the option for direct check out on opencart (v.2.0.1.1) module. But doesn't seem to work. Am I missing anything??
Do I need a private key for that?? All I need is the secret word field. Do I have the wrong version of 2Checkout??
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kew M.

Hello crave81. One of the alternatives I could suggest for you to use that doesn't have monthly fees is Cardinity https://cardinity.com/stripe-alternative. However, I didn't quite catch if you are looking for services only in US as currently Cardinity is only operating within the EU?
