If it has been over 24 hours and they have not replied to you then contact OpenCart.

If you believe the extension does not work as described (on a standard OpenCart installation) and the developer does not respond to support requests, then yes, you should contact the OpenCart team for a refund.
On behalf of developers, though: I would recommend waiting at least 1-2 business days for a response. Without knowing the timezone of the developer, it may be half a day or more before they even see your e-mail, let alone have time to read it, find the related issue, and respond to it with a potential fix.
Many developers do not work on the weekends, as well (despite what some people think
) so take that into consideration when waiting for a developer to get back to you.

I would say - those developers who are serious having a time-out earned over the weekend.

I guess he is a good developer, indeed the extension has 5 stars and many people has bought it. but their support at least for me has been bad (non existent). I contacted him, since monday, but nothing happens. Guys, Thanks for the support.

This is no criteria.
And because many people bought an extension does not mean it is good, efficient, etc .. see yourself.
And finally, bad reviews can be deleted by the owner - so you will not see one negative .. only good reviews.
As long as the extension store is not maintained by independent people, as long as bad or negative reviews can be deleted by the extension owner itself, this extension store is not the best reference.
And if a developer is good, he should have an own website, should be reachable by telephone and should have a physical address.
If that all does not exist, he is not very trustworthy.
