Can you be a little bit more specific?
The only issue I got now is that a user can't seem to send email through the contact form.
But if what you want is to be able to send emails to customers, it's actually not that hard.
First of all, please refer to the following Gmail resource:
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answ ... swer=13287, and scroll down to the Standard Instructions, and read through them first to see what meets your needs.
Then, at your Opencart backoffice, go to Home > System > Settings > Mail
My current configuration is as follows, and works, but you better test out first.
Mail Protocol: Mail
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Username: [your login email account]
SMTP Password: [your email login password]
SMTP Port: I used 587, but 465 may be required if you'll be authenticating with SSL
SMTP Timeout: 5 (left as is)
Alert Mail: Yes
Additional Alert E-Mails: [this is self-explanatory]
Again, much like any other open source software, I'm amazed but the uselessness of some older registered users that didn't give a dime to reply to this. This question was posted 10 months ago!!! NOBODY CARED!
VERY WEAK AND INCOMPLETE documentation as well. To think I'm was at first interested in Opencart over Prestashop, sure has some nice things, but overall community contribution is POOR.
