New directory underneath "image" not accessible

Underneath "image" directory, I created a new sub-directory "icons" and uploaded some PNG files to image/icons. However, I could not access it when I go to http://<domain>/image/icons/<image_name>.

http://<domain>/image/flags/<image_name> is okay.

Any idea what could be wrong?

You probably don't have the permissions set correctly to view them. CHMOD the image/icons folder to the same permissions that you have for your image/flags folder.

Thanks dabomb59404. The directories and file permissions are the same. Hence I am puzzled.

If the permissions are set ok then the only other thing I can think of is something in your .htaccess file is preventing you from viewing them.
