Hi, could someone please be good enough to tell me why I can't delete an image anymore? I only started using OC a few days ago and I could delete images before, but today it's not responding and gives no reason either.
This is my very first attempt to delve into creating an e-store, & I'm not from an IT background either, so please when you explain something, do so as if you're talking to a child!!
I hope someone will be able to help out... thanks for reading!

You'll want to delete images from your Admin panel.
Let me know if you can log in to the Admin panel.
Once in the Admin panel, there is no image option to pull up all images, and one image can be used in many places. So it's one thing to delete an image from a place, and another thing to delete an image from its source.
Are you still deleting the demo images?
If you go to your product listings in you Admin panel, just click on an image and select "Edit". Now the folder option that pops up with images, check all images in there that you want to delete and then click the trashcan in the top right corner to delete them. Once those are all cleared, click those folders to the left to see more images and keep going through those and deleting them. In the same folder (where all of the images are), you can upload images and use them anywhere that asks for an image.

Hi and many thanks for taking the time to reply.
I did what you suggested already, it lets me select what I want to delete and when I click the trash can icon nothing happens!! It was working fine a couple of days ago and I've deleted some not all of the demo products... yesterday when I tried deleting more I encountered the same problem!

Have you noticed anything else not working or acting strange?
It could be a web hosting problem. Whenever your web host slows down or stops, you have to let them know so they can check the server and let you know if the server is alright.
However, if your web hosting is fine, there is a way to get to all those image files in your file manager. Just log into your web hosting Cpanel, then click on "File Manager", the path in OpenCart is
You can preview all images individually one at a time by clicking on the file in your File Manager and then selecting "view" to see the file image.

Don't delete entire folders. Just look at the images individually so you know exactly what you are deleting./catalog/image/
