Setting SEO Urls

Hi Guys,

I am looking for help in setting the SEO URL's in my opencart store. I don't have an htaccess file yet and i am affraid that i will screw up the website when editing these settings myself.

please reply via a reaction in this section and a PM, because i read pm's more often.

Someone with a thourough knowledge of PHP is required, since i don't want to screw up my settings/site.

I have enabled the SEO URs for OC. Everything works fine for products, but not for categories.

have a look at my dev site

All products have this url
http://dev.gps101.com.au/cabbage
http://dev.gps101.com.au/cauliflower

But my CATEGORY have a "#" prefixed to the Category Name
Please click any of the categories on the left panel to see the SEO for category.

please let me know if you have any thoughts to RMEOVE this "#"
