Having issues with the new default template
Product Grid - Products are not shown EQUAL in height and they should at this stage - also the grid is layout is screwed up when using monitors of different sizes ie a 17" monitor vs a 15" monitor etc
List mode - Button group has no bottom border - moving the button group down to the bottom would solve this
Modules placed left or right such as specials or latest do not display properly
It would be great if some of these issues were fixed soon so you can actually make a live site using OC2
OC 2 uses the bootstrap framework. The grid layout is the product of it being a fluid layout. If you dont want things to move when re-sizing to a smaller screen you need to edit the lg, md, sm, xs classes of your divs. As well as most buttons are controlled by the bootstrap css.
Maybe so - but considering that OC offers a base product for free and expects that downloaders become customers to enhance that base product for a percentage fee would suggest that the user doesn't have to spend time trying to make the base product work in the first place.
I thank you ... I really do for the time you have taken to reply and I thank you for the information too .... I just think that with the experience I have had with other shopping carts out there that Opencart has been so far the LONGEST OFF THE GROUND platform to use - It's nigh on impossible with it to get a professional modern website out there in a short amount of time ... ask yourself this - how long is Opencart out there as a project? and STILL - No proper policing of badly coded and un useable extensions that go out of date as soon as they are published.
I think that the Director namely Daniel should change the dynamic altogether - I think that if someone submits an extension it should be overseen and NOT published until it is 110% compatible with OC - carries NO issues and works out of the box. All authors thereafter would be entitled to a 'Royalty' based upon the sale and download of their module. And if you want an example of THIS practice you only have to look at APPLE. - THEIR software just works ... why .. simply put it goes through APPLE in the first place.
Sorry for bending your ear - suppose I just got carried away
