Iam not an expert in this area, but what i have read about Opencart 1.x on many forums trying to speed up my website with 500 categories and 600,000 products is that Opencart 1.x have got issues with the making many queries for every page that loads, loading 1 category will also load the rest of the 499 categories.
My question is this problem fixed in Opencart 2.0 or it still remains?
