This extension adds a code that is designed for pinterest rich pins. So when someone pins your product it also sends parameters to pinterest site like price, special price, stock availability, title, description, site name, site link, related product links, correct size product image of that product.

So when someone sees the pin on pinterest it is shown with all extra information like below:

Why you need to use Rich Pins?
