weight based and free shipping

I would like to set up free shipping when a customer spends over £100

currently i have weight based shipping set up via geozone from 100g to 3kg eg 0:1.99,0.1:3.75,1:7.75,3:12.75. I would still like to keep my weight based shipping as i items that weigh 3kg on there own but i would like to offer free shipping if someone buys 4 products which may equal 2kg in weight but cost £150 in total. I am really stuck so ideas greatly appreciated

You can run the built-in Free Shipping and Weight Based Shipping at the same time. Free Shipping supports a total for activation, so just enter your 100.00 value in there, and it should work as you've described.

Thanks for that. I have enabled free shipping and put a price of 100 in the total section and left the total max weight section blank. I have enabled all zones for geo zones but its not working. im running 1.54.

Total max weight? That's not a field in the built-in Free Shipping method. Can you post some screenshots of your setup?
