Add to Cart Subtract stock

Hi there, We sell one off items and tend to have a mad rush when new products are added. Is there a way to subtract stock when the customer adds to cart and have a time limit on abandoned carts

I have searched for a extension with no avail..

Yes this can be build.
But it will have one issue. Like currently when customer add to cart then its product are saved in database.
And if customer returns after many days, still those products are in cart.
So this feature will be lost. As you need to do it after certain time only.
