image manager - 1.5.6.4 strange error

I when I try to use the image up loader it gives me this:

I have tried alot of stuff. I have tried the FTP tab in teh settings for my store with and without username and password.
I have tried to delete the entire image folder (not the image folder but the files in it) nothing.
I have tried to reset the image cache, didn't help
I have tried everything I possible can think of...
What could it be?

I doesn't load the page at all :S tries to connect and then just says "could not connect"
