ive deleted a sub category in the admin but still it show in front of my store how do i remove this from store front

Login into server with ftp.
Go to system/cache
Deleted all files in this folder.
It must be a cache problem. So this will fix the issue

Not sure it will work, but in the admin side under categories. There is an option to "Repair Categories" at the top of the screen next to "Insert" and "Delete".
If you don't have ftp access and you don't have a module to clear the cache then this may be worth a try. (I'd probably try it first)

thanks but I've tried that! are the categories stored in database or in a file?

its ok I've found the problem it was a mod called nitro i disabled that then all back to normal
